Nicollexz Meraki, an Elder Druid level 870, lives on the Open PvP green server, Quidera, where she currently belongs to the guild Loyalty. There, she also spends time with her husband, Richyx Meraki, and friends. Despite playing and taking breaks for a few months, she always comes back whenever there's a war and her friends have also returned to the game.
Nicolle discovered Tibia in 2006 when she was just 9 years old, thanks to one of her cousins. Her first character was named “Nicol the mistic,” with whom she began her Tibian adventure alongside family and friends — moments filled with laughter and adventures, of course.
“MY FIRST CHARACTER WAS CREATED BY MY COUSIN, AND HER NAME WAS -NICOL THE MISTIC- JUST LIKE THAT, MISSPELLED.”
The inspiration for her current character name, Nicollexz Meraki, comes from Nicolle, her real-life name, and "XZ," which is a distinctive tag from her husband.
Meanwhile, Meraki holds a more personal meaning that has represented Nicollexz, her partner, and friends as a solid and united group that stays together even in the worst situations the game might bring.
“...AS I MENTIONED, MY NAME IN TIBIA IS -NICOLLEXZ MERAKI- THE NICOLLEXZ IS FROM MY RL NAME, THE -XZ- IS A TAG I USE BECAUSE OF MY HUSBAND, AND MERAKI IS BECAUSE OF MY TIBIA FRIENDS. EVEN THOUGH THE WORD MEANS SOMETHING CHEESY LIKE PUTTING YOUR HEART, SOUL, CREATIVITY, AND LOVE INTO EVERYTHING YOU DO, WE USUALLY LAUGH A LOT ABOUT IT.”
Like all players, her early Tibian days were full of unforgettable adventures.
“WHO DOESN’T HAVE FUNNY ADVENTURES FOR BEING A NOOB? THE ONE MY RL FRIENDS AND I REMEMBER THE MOST WAS ONCE WHEN WE WERE EXPLORING THE TIBIA MAP, NORTH OF VENORE. WE CAME ACROSS WITH AN ORC TOWER – IT WAS FULL OF ORCS, AND FOR US THEY WERE NEW CREATURES (WE WERE LEVELS 10 TO 20). A PLAYER APPEARED AND SAID ‘LEAVE’ BUT WE DIDN’T UNDERSTAND, SO HE LURED US AN ORC BERSERKER AND OBVIOUSLY, WE ALL DIED HAHAHA… BUT HEY, AT LEAST WE HAD SOME LAUGH.”
That moment wasn’t just experienced inside Tibia. As Nicolle mentions, she was with her RL friends, and how could you miss jokes and anecdotes when hanging out with your buddies? Impossible! Laughing and sharing are some of the best things Tibia offers, especially with friends who enjoy the game as much as you do.
“WE WERE AT A CYBERCAFE, AND USUALLY WE TOOK MOST OF THE COMPUTERS, WE WERE ABOUT 6 TO 8 OF US. WHEN WE SAW THE ORC BERSERKER APPROACHING, WE STARTED SCREAMING -I’M DYING- -I’M GETTING KILLED- SO THE LADY WHO WORKED THERE RAN TO US VERY SCARED HAHAHA POOR LADY…”
But not everything is sunshine... Finding true friendships in Tibia can be a tough task for some people. However, Nicolle has always had the support of friends who introduced her to the Tibian world; learning to defend herself, finding useful mechanics and strategies — no doubt, it’s all about teamwork.
“THANKS TO MY FRIENDS BACK IN 2016, BOTH NAMED DANIEL IN RL, BUT IN THE GAME THEY ARE -STRIVE AND KHENTHIMENTIUM KHONS GUTIERREZ. I USED TO PLAY ON THE SERVER JULERA, AND THE GUILD THAT DOMINATED BACK THEN HUNTED ME JUST FOR EXISTING. OVER TIME, MY FRIENDS INVADED THE SERVER AND ENCOURAGED ME TO JOIN THE WAR. BUT AT THAT TIME, I WAS ALSO LEADING A NEUTRAL GUILD WITH FRIENDS, WHICH I CONSIDER THE CLOSEST, AND THEM WITH THE TWO DANIELS WHO SUPPORTED ME AND JOINED ME IN THE WAR.”
Despite it all, she quickly adapted, which helped her thrive even more in Tibia. She’s come to enjoy this playstyle deeply, participating in countless wars on different servers, learning and enjoying the game even more.
“I’VE PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL WARS, AS I USED TO BELONG TO THE -TEAM OS-, WHICH DOMINATED BACK THEN. I PLAYED WITH THIS TEAM ON THE SERVER JULERA IN THE WAR AGAINST INSOMNIO; ALSO ON THE OLD SERVER GARNERA, WHICH IS NOW CALLED HAVERA. AFTER THE MERGE, I FOUGHT WARS AGAINST THE GUILD ARMY IN WINTERA, AND OTHER PK TEAMS FROM THE SAME SERVER. THEN I MOVED TO GREEN SERVERS, AND FOUGHT WARS IN JONERA, UNISERA, SEANERA, PULSERA, YSOLERA, AXERA, AND MOST RECENTLY, QUIDERA.”
“THE WAR I ENJOYED THE MOST WAS THE FIRST ONE, RED OS VS INSOMNIO… MY FRIENDS TAUGHT ME TO HAVE FUN EVEN WITH KS, DEATHS, AND EVERYTHING WAR BRINGS. I’D SAY IT WAS BY FAR MY FAVORITE EXPERIENCE.”
There’s no doubt Nicolle has had quite the journey across PvP worlds, where tough situations arise not only for her but also for her team. Still, she shares which of those situations are her favorites:
“THERE ARE 3 THINGS I ENJOY, AND I’LL LIST THEM IN ORDER OF PRIORITY:
1. I LOVE BEING HUNTED. THAT FEELING OF KNOWING MAKERS AND/OR BOMBS MIGHT SHOW UP TO TRY TO KILL ME BRINGS A RUSH OF ADRENALINE THAT I ENJOY.
2. I LIKE HUNTING. WHEN THE TEAM ORGANIZES TO KILL AN ENEMY — LIKE POSITIONING CHARACTERS IN -X- PLACE AND OTHERS IN -Y- PLACE IN CASE THE TARGET TAKES PATH A OR B AND HAS NO ESCAPE — IT REQUIRES A LOT OF STEALTH AND COORDINATION, SOMETHING A GOOD TEAM MUST MASTER.
3. RUNNING RESPAWNS. EVEN THOUGH I SAID I’M NOT GOOD AT IT, THE TRUTH IS THERE ARE FEW EXPERIENCES LEFT IN THE GAME THAT STILL GIVE ME A RUSH, LIKE DOING QUESTS, HUNTING IN NEW RESPAWNS, GETTING NEW ADDONS, OUTFITS, ETC. RUNNING RESPAWNS GIVES THAT FEELING THAT -ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN-. I CAN SAY I MIGHT DIE ANY MOMENT — AND WHILE DEATHS AREN’T A BIG DEAL ANYMORE, SURVIVING SOMETHING LIKE THAT MEANS I DID SOMETHING RIGHT, AND THAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT TO ME.”
Wars can be very rewarding for the winners — knowing you have control and the power to play alone or with a team. Sadly, for those who lose and take things beyond the game to try and harm their opponents in real life, it says a lot about their character.
“IN MY OPINION, PEOPLE WHO TARGET YOU BEYOND THE GAME ARE JUST LOSERS. THEY’RE PEOPLE WHO CAN’T BEAT YOU IN-GAME, SO THEIR ONLY OPTION IS TO INSULT OR THREATEN YOU IN RL TO GET AT YOU.”
Beyond PvP and the stories Nicolle shares, she talks about her current goal: becoming the Top #1 in Achievements on her server and the milestones she wants to reach next.
“MY MOST RECENT GOAL, AND ONE OF THE DEAREST TO ME, WAS REACHING 1200 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS AND BECOMING THE TOP #1 ON MY SERVER. I DREAMED OF IT, AND WHEN I MADE IT, I FELT LIKE THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT TO DO IN TIBIA. I’VE BEEN TRYING TO SET NEW GOALS LIKE BUYING ITEMS EVERY CHARLOVER DREAMS OF — FOR EXAMPLE, BUNNYSLIPPERS, A YELLOW ROSE, OR EVEN A FERUMBRAS HAT… BUT I’M TOO LAZY WHEN IT COMES TO HUNTING.”
What an incredible goal! A beautiful one and definitely very charlover-like. Getting that many Achievements is complex, but it’s worth all the effort if you enjoy this type of gameplay. What’s lovely about Tibia, besides the player experience, is the joy it brings you and the great people you can meet along the way.
“WHAT YOU SHOULD VALUE MOST ARE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU — THOSE WHO HELP YOU, SUPPORT YOU, STICK WITH YOU, AND VALUE YOU JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO THEM. IF THERE’S SOMETHING TIBIA HAS TAUGHT ME, IT’S THAT NOTHING IS MORE VALUABLE THAN THE PEOPLE IT ALLOWS YOU TO MEET — TO HAVE THE PLEASURE OF MAKING A NICE FRIENDSHIP, OR EVEN A BEAUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP.”
Nicollexz Meraki’s real name is Rikcy Nicolle Erazo, she’s currently 28 years old and lives in Honduras. Outside the game, she works as a medical assistant at her family’s clinic and has studied various languages.

“I LIKE INTERACTING WITH PEOPLE OUTSIDE MY FRIEND CIRCLE. AND WHEN THERE’S A WAR, I FEEL WAY MORE HUNTED THAN USUAL, BECAUSE IF YOU’RE IN WAR, YOUR BIGGEST FAN ON STREAM IS THE ENEMY TRYING TO FIND OUT WHERE YOU ARE TO KILL YOU HAHAHA.”
