Essie Invencivel plays on the Inabra server (Open PvP BR). She is a level 1100+ Elder Druid who is part of the “United Pune” team that is currently in an Active War.
Essie's story on Tibia began approximately 5 or 6 years ago and has remained active since then.
“MY RL FRIENDS INTRODUCED ME TO TIBIA, MY FIRST REACTION WAS:
-THOSE UGLY GRAPHICS, I DON'T THINK I’LL EVER PLAY THAT-
A YEAR LATER IM HOOKED AND HERE I AM”
Her first character was Essie Blyana, an Elder Druid who leveled it till 400 giving KS in different wars.
“I THINK ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEMORIES WITH THAT CHAR ARE WHEN I WAS GETTING ATTACKS GIVING KS WITH MY OPPRESSOR DUOS”
Despite being Elder Druid, her favorite vocation is the Master Sorcerer, but in PVP matters an ED is more useful than an MS.
“MY FAVORITE VOCATION ARE THE MS, I LOVE THEM, I FIND THEM VERY FUN, ONLY I CHOOSE THE ED BECAUSE OF THE PARALYZE, IT IS GOOD FOR RUNNING RESPAWNS WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT I REALLY LIKE TO DO AND ALSO BECAUSE IT IS WHAT I KNOW TO USE BEST.”
Her first interaction with pvp happened at level 60, being neutral, all because of the rejection towards a player who began to behave like a “power abuser” towards her. After these events, the neutral team to which she belonged decided to guide her so that she could join the dominant guild of that moment to have support and be defended.
“ONE MONTH LATER THE WAR STARTED ON THAT SERVER AND SINCE THEN I HAVEN’T STOP FIGHTING. GIVE KS WAS THE FIRST THING I LEARNED IN TIBIA EVEN BEFORE HUNTING IN TEAM PARTY HAHAHAHA.”
Little by little the pleasure of getting involved in the Wars grew and it became a very entertaining activity for Essie. The adrenaline you feel when receiving attacks from the enemy team or the sensation of giving “KS” and staying until the end to demonstrate “Who is the strongest and lasts the longest” were part of the things that sparked her interest in this world.
“I FOUND IT VERY INTERESTING HOW A TEAM OF MANY PEOPLE COULD AGREE TO KILL ONE TARGET. THE ADRENALINE OF RECEIVING ATTACKS, THE FEELING OF GIVING KS AND STAYING UNTIL THE END; TO BE HONEST, I WAS ALWAYS VERY PROUD WITH THE KS SINCE BEING SO LOW LVL IN MY FIRST WAR I FOCUSED A LOT ON THAT. TODAY WHAT MOTIVATES ME IS TO LEARN TO RUN THE RESPAWNS WELL, ONE OF MY GOALS THIS YEAR IS TO LEARN HOW TO RUN SOULWAR IF THE OPPORTUNITY IS GIVEN.”
Essie has been part of different wars within Tibia since 2019. She participated in the war of Lutabra 2019, Inabra 2020, Quelibra 2020, Solidera 2021, Quintera 2021-22, Inabra 2022, Solidera 2022, Ferobra 2022-23 & Inabra 2023 which is the war she is currently in.
“MY FAVORITE WAR WAS THE ONE ON QUELIBRA, IT LASTED 1 YEAR AND I LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT PVP, I FEEL LIKE I IMPROVED A LOT AS A PLAYER AND MADE GOOD FRIENDSHIPS.”
Being part of a war in a game where the community is mostly male has changed over time and Essie feels comfortable about it.
“PERSONALLY, CURRENTLY I DON’T FEEL MUCH THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN WITHIN TIBIA, IN THE OLD TIMES I WATCHED THIS GAME WITH A VERY MISOGYNIST COMMUNITY WHERE IF YOU WERE A WOMAN YOU DIDN’T HAVE A VOICE, YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY, YOU COULD NOT GIVE KS OR MUCH LESS TANK. TODAY I SEE THAT WOMEN ARE MORE “COMPANIONS'' IN WARS, THERE ARE ENOUGH GIRLS WHO HAVE SHOWN THE STRENGTH AND ABILITY THEY HAVE TO FIGHT A WAR.”
However, despite the good friendships and good moments that the game leaves us with, from time to time there could be bitter moments, especially in worlds that are in war where from time to time the players lose their sanity and cross the limits of the game.
“I DON’T SUPPORT TOXICITY VERY MUCH, I FEEL THAT THREATENING IN RL IS NOT OK BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DON’T SEPARATE RL WITH THE GAME, THEY PASS THE LIMITS AND IN THAT CASE YOU HAVE TO ACT REGARDING INSULTS... THE TRUTH I DON’T SUPPORT IT BUT I DON'T CARE. IN THIS GAME I LEARNED THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO GIVE IMPORTANCE TO THE COMMENTS THAT A PERSON WHO YOU DON'T KNOW IN REAL LIFE MAY MAKE, THAT IT IS NOTHING RELEVANT IN YOUR LIFE AND THAT IF YOU DELETE THE GAME YOU WILL NEVER KNOW ABOUT THEM AGAIN. IN OTHER WORDS, DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT A RANDOM MAY THINK OR SAY.”
Even so, pvp is part of Essie's heart as it is one of the activities she enjoys the most within Tibia. Lately she has tried things that never caught her attention before, such as investing in mounts or decorating her house, and among her current goals are leveling her main character as much as possible, leaving fear aside and learning to run SoulWar and of course winning the wars that show up in 2024, including the one on Inabra.
Among the different outstanding players in OPEN PVP worlds, Essie feels admiration for her boyfriend: Dejair Invencivel, the current TOP LVL of Tibia.
“I ADMIRE MY BOYFRIEND SO MUCH, HE IS THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PVP FOR ME, FOR EVERY DOUBT I HAVE HE HAS THE ANSWER, I FEEL THAT BEING BY HIS SIDE HE HAS POLISHED ME AND TAUGHT ME MANY THINGS THAT I WOULDN'T NORMALLY KNOW SINCE I WOULD NEVER LEAVE MY COMFORT ZONE REGARDING PVP AND PVE (BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO HUNT HAHAHA).”
Essie is from Chile, she is currently in Brazil, among her RL hobbies are watching series and reading, she knows how to play several musical instruments, mainly piano and violin; She likes walks with her dog and she is learning how to crochet. She also streams on the Twitch platform, her beginning was doing “Just Chatting” which consists of talking and exchanging ideas with the audience.
“I KEPT A ROUTINE AND I DIDN’T HAD SO MUCH TIME, I REALLY LIKE TALKING WITH PEOPLE, THERE WAS ONE DAY I ARRIVED HOME VERY TIRED AND WANTED TO PLAY TIBIA; I TOOK IT SERIOUSLY AT THAT TIME AND THAT DAY I DECIDED TO MAKE MY FIRST TIBIA LIVE, I MIXED THE GAME THAT I LIKE SO MUCH AND CONVERSATION WITH THE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW ME AND THAT'S HOW I CHANGED CONTENT DRASTICALLY HAHAHAHA.”
And it was just in a Tibia broadcast that Essie got a “SUB” from her enemy.
“I WENT TO RUN LIBRARY FOR THE FIRST TIME LIVE, I MUTED THE MICROPHONE AND STARTED TO FOCUS ON KILLING THE PK, WHEN OUT OF NOWHERE I STARTED HEARING MANY SUBS ALERTS, ONE AFTER ANOTHER BUT I WAS SUPER CONCENTRATED. IN THAT MINUTE ONE OF MY TEAM TOLD ME -ESSIE THEY ARE GIVING YOU A LOT OF SUBS YOU'RE RICH- AND I JUST SAID -REMOVE THE PARALYZE, WALL, WALL, COME DOWN THE LADDER-, AFTER I KILLED THE PK, THE PERSON I WAS RUNNING AGAINST GAVE ME A SUB.”
What she likes most about streaming is being able to discuss controversial topics during her lives.
“I LOVE BEING ABLE TO TALK ABOUT CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES AND FOR EVERYONE TO HAVE A SPACE WHERE THEY CAN EXPRESS THEIR OPINION, I ALSO DO THERAPY LIVES, WHERE PEOPLE COME TO TELL ME THEIR PROBLEMS AND THE CHAT GIVES ADVICES, SO EVERYONE CAN FIND THE BEST SOLUTION OR DECISION.”
As mentioned above, Essie is in a relationship, this relationship had its beginning within Tibia. She and Dejair began as enemies from their beginnings in the game.
“HE INVADED MY SERVER (INABRA), I LOST THE WAR AND I WENT TO QUELIBRA, WHERE ONE DAY LATER HE INVADED AND AGAIN I LOST THE WAR, SO TO NOT JOIN THE TEAM THAT WON JUST TO BE ABLE TO -CLAIM- I WENT TO NA IN WAITING FOR ONE DAY ANOTHER WAR WILL START, SINCE ALL THE BRAZILIAN OPEN PVP SERVERS WERE DOMINATED BY HIM.”
The years passed and Essie was fighting Quintera when a war started in Ferobra, there the people she had previously played with on BR servers called her to play with them again, however, she decided to return until they dominated Quintera because she was fighting a side of good friends.Upon winning the Quintera war she decided to return to the BR servers but it was no longer only the Ferobra war that was active, but there was a war in each Open Pvp Br Yellow world; Essie chose Inabra to give strength and support to the people and friendships with whom she had fought once and by making that decision she joined Dejair's Team Pune.
“BASICALLY, FIGHTING TOGETHER WE GOT TO KNOW EACH OTHER UNTIL WE BOTH FELL IN LOVE AND TODAY WE ARE TOGETHER PLAYING NEXT TO EACH OTHER, AFTER YEARS BEING ENEMIES LOVE CAME UP AND WE ARE COMPANIONS IN TIBIA AND IN LIFE.”
Yeah! Partners in life, they have managed to go beyond the screen to get to know each other and have a stronger relationship. The distance was not a problem and in her experience the relationships that are born in the game can have a future as long as both sides want things to go well.
“I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WHO MET IN TIBIA AND TODAY ARE MARRIED, WITH CHILDREN, ETC.”
Essie has visited Brazil on several occasions, and although there are little things that she still doesn't get completely used to, her stays have been comfortable with her boyfriend and his family.
“I LOVE BRAZIL, I HAD ALWAYS WANTED TO VISIT IT, I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THE LANGUAGE AND THE CULTURE, THERE ARE STILL THINGS THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET USED TO LIKE THE HEAVY RAIN AND AFTER 5 MINUTES THE FLOOR IS DRY, AT THE BEGINNING IT WAS HARD TO GET USED TO TO HEAT AND HIGH HUMIDITY. MY STAY IN BRAZIL HAS BEEN VERY GOOD, I FEEL VERY SUPPORTED BY MY PARTNER AND HIS FAMILY, I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED BEAUTIFUL PLACES AND VERY DELICIOUS FOOD. SIMPLY, ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER LIVED.”
