Bugadiinho and Bugadiinha share their love for the game as well as the love they have for each other off-screen.
In real life their names are Rafael and Priscila, they are both 31 years old and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, she's 6 years old.
“We are Brazilians, we were born and raised in the state of Goiás, but currently we live in the north of the country in the state of Rondônia, near the Amazon and Bolivia. A curious detail is that we live on a farm.”
They have been together for approximately 12 years, they did not meet through Tibia, but they managed to include it in their life by making it a hobby full of goals and challenges that they share every day.
“We got married in November 2015, but we have been a couple since April 2012 and we have played together since then.”
At the beginning, only Rafael (Bugadiinho) played Tibia and he was the one who spoke to Priscila about the game.
RAFAEL/BUGADIINHO: “I STARTED PLAYING TIBIA IN 2005, I WAS GOING TO A CYBER CAFE WITH SOME FRIENDS TO PLAY COUNTER STRIKE WHEN THEY SHOWED ME TIBIA.”
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “I STARTED PLAYING TIBIA IN 2012!, I AM NOT AN OLD PLAYER LIKE MOSTLY EVERYONE HAHAH... MY HUSBAND WAS THE ONE WHO SHOWED ME TIBIA.”
When they began their relationship Rafael was retired from Tibia, at that time he was focused mainly on graduating; even so, he always told funny stories to Priscila about the game and his friends, that adolescent phase about meeting his friends at the cyber to play and have a good time, those stories awakened in Priscila the curiosity to know more about Tibia.
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “I DIDN'T HAVE THAT PHASE OF GOING TO THE CYBER WITH FRIENDS :(... BUT I WAS VERY CURIOUS AND ASKED HIM TO INSTALL THE GAME ON MY NOTEBOOK AND TEACH ME, AND THAT'S HOW HE PLAYED AGAIN AND WE STARTED TO DO IT TOGETHER... A FUN FACT ABOUT IT IS THAT MY BROTHER ONE DAY WENT TO MY ROOM AND SAW ME PLAYING TIBIA, HE LAUGHED AT ME BECAUSE I WAS VERY NOOB KILLING RATS, UNTIL ONE DAY HE ASKED MY HUSBAND TO TEACH HIM AND HE ALSO ENDED UP HOOKED HAHAHA.”
Outside of Tibia, they are both lawyers, they met at the Law School and since then they have never been apart.
“WE REALLY LIKE THINGS THAT INVOLVE THE FAMILY, GOING OUT TO EAT TOGETHER, GOING SHOPPING AT THE MALL, WALKS, TRAVELING, GOING TO MASS ON SUNDAYS... GENERALLY WE ARE VERY HOME-FRIENDLY PEOPLE.”
In their social networks they are known as Casal Mage, this name comes from their vocations within the game, since they aren’t like mostly all couples regarding this topic, they are not the typical duo of EK and ED or RP and ED; Bugadiinho is a Master Sorcerer, Bugadiinha an Elder Druid, both are level 900+ and play on Inabra, a yellow open-pvp server.

For both of them it is very gratifying to be able to share a hobby as fun and at the same time as serious and competitive as Tibia, in conversations about the game they understand each other and get along well.
PLAYING TOGETHER IS: “SHARE ALL YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN DOING A MISSION, LEVEL UP, MAKING A BOSS... AND FOR A PARTY OF 4 PEOPLE YOU WILL ONLY BE MISSING THE OTHER 2 MEMBERS BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE YOUR PARTNER PRACTICALLY GUARANTEED HEHEHEHE; WHEN THERE IS A DOUBLE XP OR QUICK RESPAWN EVENT, WE WILL BOTH BE THERE PLAYING AND IF ONE DOESN'T HAVE A LOT OF ENCOURAGEMENT WE DON'T BOTHER BECAUSE ONE IS ON THE PC AND THE OTHER IS NOT.”
When they are not playing, everyone has their hobbies, currently Pris (Bugadiinha) loves making amigurumis, those beautiful crochet dolls that have become fashionable within the Tibian community; He likes music, singing and was even part of the church praise group.
Within their journey in Tibia there are many anecdotes to tell, stories that are quite funny and difficult to forget; one of them is related to the Midnight Panther Doll…
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “WELL, AT THE BEGINNING I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME AND AFTER A WHILE I SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME A MIDNIGHT PANTHER DOLL (XENA, THE FANSITE ITEM FROM TIBIA MAGAZINE). I FELL IN LOVE INSTANTLY, I REALLY WANTED TO HAVE THAT DOLL, MY HUSBAND (BUGADIINHO) WAS LET’S SAY IT THIS WAY “HAD MORE KNOWLEDGE” ABOUT THE GAME BECAUSE HE PLAYED BEFORE ME, BUT HAD BEEN INACTIVE FOR A LONG TIME AND WAS NOT AT ALL INVOLVED IN THE WORLD OF FANSITES, AND LIKE ME, I WAS NOT INVOLVED AT ALL I HAD NO IDEA THAT ITEM WAS AN ITEM THAT THEY AWARDED IN FANSITE CONTESTS.
THEN... IN OUR HEAD THE ITEM WAS THE RESULT OF THE COMBINATION OF THE DROPS OF THE MIDNIGHT PANTHER, I MEAN, 4 LEGS AND A HEAD, SO WE WERE CHECKING ALL THE TIME AND HUNTING FOR THE PANTHER FOR A LONG TIME WITH THAT INTENTION UNTIL WE FOUND OUT AND DISCOVERED THE FANSITES, HAHAHAHAHA!”
Like any other Tibian, they have died in their adventures but the most curious thing about it is that when they die, the sadness usually comes from the opposite side and not from the dead person haha.
RAFAEL/BUGADIINHO: “I DIED MANY TIMES BECAUSE OF PRIS, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE PLAYED IN RETRO PVP HAHAHA, THE ED WAS HITTING ME ON THE HEAD WITH THE FRIGO, AND SOMETIMES THAT WAS FATAL HAHAHA. ”
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “THE CURIOUS THING WAS THAT WE WEREN’T ANGRY BECAUSE ONE KILLED THE OTHER, BUT WE WERE MORE ANNOYED THAT THE OTHER DID. IN THOSE TIMES BUGADIINHO WAS ALWAYS THE ONE WHO WAS THE MOST ANNOYED BECAUSE I DIED A LOT, UNTIL THE ROLES CHANGED AND HE STARTED DYING MORE HAHAHAHA… EVEN THOUGH FOR ME, HE WAS THE ONE WHO GENERALLY WAS THE MOST ANNOYED.”
And of course there are differences between Rafael and Priscila because of Tibia, being a couple does not save them from any arguments like any other duo or party in the game.
“BY PLAYING A LOT TOGETHER WE HAVE A LOT OF TRUST AND BEING A COUPLE THERE IS ALWAYS TENSION BUT WE RESOLVE IT AT THE MOMENT AND MOVE ON; DESPITE BEING MARRIED WE HAVE DIFFERENT THOUGHTS AND MANY TIMES WE HAVE TO SIT DOWN, TALK AND ALIGN OUR GOALS IN THE GAME, AS WELL AS IN OUR LIFE RL.”
Despite everything, they always manage to have good harmony thanks to communication. They share the desire to level up, this is what they consider their favorite activity of the many things Tibia offers.
“WE HAVE ALWAYS FOCUSED A LOT ON LEVELING OUR CHARACTERS EVEN THOUGH TODAY NOT SO MUCH DUE TO THE OPEN PVP WARS; OUR OTHER FAVORITE ACTIVITY IS TO DO ACHIEVEMENTS.”
Of course, making XP is part of your goals as a couple…
“OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN, STAY UNITED AND TAKE OUR LEVEL 1000 PHOTO TOGETHER.”
0n the Achievements side, she has Mystic Fabric Magic, which is obtained by making both Elementalist Outfit addons; he, Alumni, obtained by making the two addons of the male Mage Outfit.
The Elementalist Outfit was something that Priscila had wanted since she started playing so she decided to clean the Mad Mage cave in Edron so she could get her Mage Cap.
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: I started doing that annoying mechanic of cleaning out Edron's basement and trying to get the Mage Cap. One day I arrived to start cleaning and someone had just dropped it, when they saw me they made fun of me saying "I just dropped it". I told my husband what had happened and he messaged him, he ended up purchasing it for a pretty reasonable price.
In that story they were both happy, the seller seeing so many KK's (game money) and Priscila too, because she finally had the much desired Mage Cap…
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “I SPENT A LONG TIME WITH ONE ADDON, BECAUSE I FELT THAT THE SPIKES DIDN'T MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE BUT SOON I STARTED TO LOVE THEM... ONE DAY MY HUSBAND MADE SOME PURCHASES IN ANTICA, A CRACKLING EGG FOR HIM AND THE LONG AWAITED ELEMENTAL SPIKES FOR ME."
On the other hand, the Mage Outfit or rather the Ferumbras' Hat was Rafael's dream, there were endless opportunities to acquire characters that already came with the addon, as we know that is cheaper and the cost-benefit on the bazaar is easier on the pocket.
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!!!!!
Nothing compares to the pleasure of going to the NPC and putting the addon, so they waited for the perfect opportunity.
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “WHEN FERUMBRAS SPAWNED ON OUR SERVER, THEY DROPPED IT AND OFFERED IT TO US, WE HAD THE FINANCIAL CONDITIONS TO BUY IT, SO THAT'S WHAT WE DID, BUT RAFAEL LEFT THE ITEM AT HOME FOR A LONG TIME, AFRAID OF REGRETTING USING IT HAHAHA UNTIL, ME AS A WIFE, I GRAB HIM BY ONE EAR AND TOLD HIM: GO AND PUT IT ON YOUR HEAD! WASN'T THAT WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED IN THE GAME?... AFTER THAT HE FINALLY PUT ON THE DREAMED FERUMBRAS’ HAT.”
Bugadiinho and Bugadiinha have known how to share and enjoy this hobby and their lives without necessarily having the same tastes in everything.
For Rafa there is nothing in Tibia that Pris does that will cause him any displeasure (besides dying haha) and for Priscila only a small detail...
RAFAEL/BUGADIINHO: “THERE IS NOTHING THAT MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE, I REALLY LIKE PLAYING WITH HER, I EVEN FEEL MORE MOTIVATED.”
PRISCILA/BUGADIINHA: “I CAN BE VERY SLOW SOMETIMES TO DO CERTAIN THINGS AND HE RUSHES ME… THAT IRRITATES ME ARRG.”
But despite their differences, they consider that playing Tibia has brought them closer together as a couple.
“IN REAL LIFE WE ALREADY DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER, INCLUDING WORK AND WHEN WE GO TO THE VIRTUAL WORLD WE ARE ALSO TOGETHER, LEVELING UP, DOING MISSIONS, FIGHTING WAR, ETC... PLAYING TOGETHER IS NOT AN OBLIGATION FOR US, BUT WE FEEL HAPPY WHEN WE OUR EVOLUTION AS A COUPLE BOTH IN LIFE AND IN THE GAME, WE ARE HAPPY BY PUTTING THE SAME LEVEL GOALS, ADDONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE TWO CHARACTERS EVENLY, OUR GOAL IS ALWAYS TO GET EVERYTHING EQUAL IN BOTH CHARS.
This couple really enjoys spending time together in Tibia, they set joint goals and share their triumphs and joys.
